CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Aug. 6, 2002 -- Essentially Pure Ingredients (EPI), the contract manufacturing and ingredient supply division of Natrol, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTOL - News), today announced that Dennis Griffin, former president of Esoterix Endocrinology and a 27-year veteran of the health-care industry, would join the company as president. Mr. Griffin is a member of Natrol's board of directors and has resigned his seat on the board concurrent to his assuming his role as EPI's president.
"Esoterix Endocrinology is one of the most respected clinical reference laboratories in the United States," noted Elliott Balbert, Natrol's chief executive officer, when making the announcement.
