Laufer Named Natrol General Counsel

Natrol, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTOL), a manufacturer and marketer of branded dietary supplements, today announced that David Laufer would join the Company as Vice President and General Counsel.

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - March 5, 2003 - Natrol, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTOL), a manufacturer and marketer of branded dietary supplements, today announced that David Laufer would join the Company as Vice President and General Counsel.

Mr. Laufer joins Natrol after serving in many key partner positions with the law firms of Riordan & McKinzie, Kindel & Anderson, and Arter and Hadden. Mr. Laufer's professionally trained specialties include negotiation, mediation, federal and state regulation (as it applies to the nutraceutical industry), business litigation and trademark law. Mr. Laufer graduated from Loyola Marymount University of Law. He also has a diploma from the National Institute for Advanced Trial Advocacy; certificates in mediation and advanced mediation from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine Law School and is an Arbitrator Receiver for Los Angeles County Superior Court. Mr. Laufer also served on the Natrol Board of Directors until his retirement in 2000.
